Below: Information for how to subscribe, how to log in, how to submit a paper, who we are, and everything we can think of concerning the American Mineralogist.
Does your institution subscribe to GeoScienceWorld (GSW)? Access full-text articles with all the GSW online features without a USERID or password at American Mineralogist's GeoScienceWorld page.
Does your institution subscribe to American Mineralogist through MSA? Access full-text articles without a USERID or password at AmMin MSA institutional subscription.
Starting with 2014, your individual online American Mineralogist is included with MSA membership dues (traditional paper subscription is extra and an available option) -- how to access this feature? With your MSA USERID or password, access the journal on GeoScienceWorld (GSW) via this portal page to be authenticated. (Remember your MSA user ID is your email address and your password is your member ID.)
Without a subscription? You can still view abstracts, tables of content, the free sample issue, open access articles, and use features such as search, email the author, and pay-per-view by logging in at American Mineralogist's GeoScienceWorld page. (Note that most authors are delighted to have colleagues request a preprint or e-link or discuss the data.)
Archive Table of Contents 1916-present
Abstracts, Articles and Deposit Items -- 1916-1999 Free to all. Anyone can access the Table of Contents, titles, authors, abstracts, and archives at no cost at the MSA website. Full article PDFs between year 2000 to 2013 require either a personal MSA member subscription or an Institutional subscription directly to MSA (see log-in options above).
At the bottom of the page, there's an 8 minute screen-capture video highlighting a few features of GSW. We could talk for hours but held ourselves back. Feedback welcome and a jump-link to come. Thanks.

Quick instructions - PDF format
Electronic Articles in the American Mineralogist - The brief version is yes, you can submit a paper with videos and interactive features. We can publish a "still" for the print version and the "action" online. In some cases, it makes more sense to have the videos and interactive features as supplementary materials easy to obtain and free to all readers.
MinPub Shop for copies of individual articles either PDF or hardcopy. You can contact us for a booklet or set of articles, such as a course pack or a collection of all your papers, from 2000 (vol. 85) to present. Once the booklet is created it will be there for others to order as well. Special collection booklets will be available by request as well. Elements [vol. 1 (2005) to present], and Reviews in Mineralogy and Geochemistry [vol. 1 (1974) - present] are also available. Purchase is by credit card. The material is searchable by volume, author, or a word in the title. You to choose either a "print" or "electronic" version. (Contact firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.)
